What's included in Admiral Breakdown Cover?

No matter which level of cover you choose, these benefits are included as standard when you choose Admiral as your breakdown provider:

Named Drivers

We cover the car shown on your Admiral policy, whether you or any of your named drivers are driving.

Message Service

Don't worry if you need to let someone know you're running late, we're always happy to pass on a message or two for you.

Caravan and Trailer Cover

We recover caravan and trailers up to 8ft 3in wide and 3.5t in weight.

Lost or broken keys

If your keys are lost or broken we’ll transport your vehicle to the nearest garage or an alternative destination of your choice, if no further than 10 miles away from the breakdown.

Misfuel Assist

We'll either drain the fuel or recover your vehicle to the nearest suitable repairer. You'll also get 10 litres of fuel so you can continue your journey.

Alternative Transport

You'll get a hire car (up to 1600cc) for up to three days to allow you to complete your journey.

Overnight Accommodation

We will arrange breakfast for you and your passengers up to £150 per person (£600 total) while your vehicle is being repaired.

European Travels

European Breakdown Cover

Includes all the same benefits as our National Plus Cover but with added European assistance.

If you need European assistance call us on 0044 1206 714 344 and we'll send help to you within the territorial limits of Europe.

We'll cover the callout fees and mileage charges needed to repair or assist with your car. If it can't be fixed within 48 hours, or by your departure date, we'll arrange for you, your car and passengers to be taken to your home address.

Alternative Transport Abroad

If you breakdown within the territorial limits (Europe), we’ll provide a hire car (up to 1600cc) for up to three days, allowing you to continue your trip in the territorial limits (Europe) while your vehicle remains unroadworthy.

We’ll also pay up to £150 towards the reasonable cost of alternative transport for an insured person to return and collect the repaired vehicle.

Emergency Overnight Accommodation

If you breakdown within the territorial limits (Europe) and your car can’t be repaired the same working day and you can’t get to your pre-booked accommodation, we'll arrange overnight accommodation and breakfast for you and your passengers up to £150 per person (£600 in total).

How the breakdown service works

Once you've added breakdown cover to your insurance, it couldn't be easier to use. When you call for breakdown assistance, you'll be asked for your:

  • Policy number
  • Car registration, make and model
  • Location
  • Phone number
    We need your number to tell you who's coming to you and how long they'll be.
