Whether you’ve got a cute new puppy or a faithful hound, getting the right cover for your four-legged friend is so important.

When your dog is in need, Admiral Pet Insurance can provide cover for the care they need and can help with unexpected vet costs and more.

Is dog insurance worth it?

Insuring your dog is not compulsory, but millions of dog owners across the country choose to insure their pooch for peace of mind they have cover, should an accident or injury happen.

Dog owners can be found legally liable, should their dog cause injury or damage either to a person or their property, which is why Admiral Pet Insurance provides dog owners between £1million and £2million depending on the level of cover chosen.

We know household costs can quickly add up, which is why Admiral Pet Insurance offers five different levels of cover to choose from:

Lifetime

New accidents and illnesses (conditions) are covered up to the specified financial limit in each policy term. If the limit is reached, the cover stops until the policy is renewed. At the renewal date the limit is fully reinstated and the condition(s) will continue to be covered.

Maximum benefit

New accidents and illnesses (conditions) are covered up to the specified financial limit for each separate condition. Once the financial limit is reached the condition is excluded. Ongoing cover is provided until the condition financial limit has been met.

12-month

New accidents and illnesses (conditions) are covered up to the specified financial limit for up to 12 months from the date the condition was first noticed by you or your vet. If the limit is reached within 12 months from the date the condition was first noticed, the condition becomes excluded. Ongoing cover is provided until the financial limit has been reached or 12 months has passed from the date the condition was first noticed by you or your vet.

Our Lifetime, Maximum benefit and 12-month cover are subject to Admiral inviting the policy renewal and payment of premiums by the due date. No further cover will be provided beyond the cancellation or expiry of the policy.

Cheap dog insurance might not provide the level of cover you need, so make sure you read the policy benefits before making your choice.
