Skills & Volunteering Cymru
“Skills & Volunteering Cymru (SVC) is a volunteer-led charity established in 1971. We run volunteering projects across south Wales which support disadvantaged members of our community including children and adults with disabilities, the homeless community and young carers to name a few. In addition, we work in partnership with South Wales Police and local councils to make south Wales a safer and greener place to live.
“Like many organisations, the type of work we deliver was impacted heavily by the pandemic, but our focus remained to provide digital activities to our beneficiaries to combat feelings of loneliness and isolation. Many of our beneficiaries were shielding due to being in high risk groups or living with those vulnerable to the virus.
“We were so grateful to receive funds from Admiral which helped with resources for different digital activities, and will also help us to install software to support our new digital activities.”
