Refer a Friend Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions:

  1. Admiral is a trading name of EUI Limited (Company Number 02686904) whose registered office is at Ty Admiral, David Street, Cardiff CF10 2EH (the “Promoter").
  2. This promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to all Admiral UK customers over the age of 17 (“Existing Customers”) who refer a friend to purchase a new Single Car, MultiCar, MultiCover, Van, Home, Landlord, Pet or Travel insurance policy from Admiral (a “Qualifying Purchase”) via the Refer a friend portal (the "Portal") https://www.admiral.com/refer-a-friend.
  3. The Promotion comprises of Existing Customers being eligible to earn referral incentives up to £75 for each Qualifying Purchase (the “Referral Incentive”) subject to these terms and conditions.
  4. The Eligible Customer should expect to receive their Referral Incentive within 120 days of the date of the Qualifying Purchase.
  5. For a Qualifying Purchase to be valid: (a) the Existing Customer must share the referral link from the Portal (the “Referral Link”) with their family or friends (a “Referred Customer”); and (b) the Referred Customer must then generate an insurance policy quote and purchase the insurance policy online immediately using the Referral Link (the “Purchased Policy”).
  6. The Purchased Policy must be in force for a minimum of 30 days in order to qualify for the Referral Incentive.
    • A Pet Policy must be in force for a minimum of 90 days and have at least 3 monthly Direct Debit payments made successfully in order to qualify for the Referral Incentive.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, modify or terminate this Promotion in whole or in part in the event that it is necessary to do so.
  8. The terms and conditions of this Promotion do not alter or vary the terms and conditions of any Admiral insurance policy which may be purchased.
  9. Applications for insurance policies provided by the Promoter are subject to its normal terms and conditions including its underwriting criteria. The Promoter reserves the right to decline any application for any insurance policy at its absolute discretion and is not obliged to disclose any reason for rejection. In these cases, the Existing Customer will not be eligible to receive the Referral Incentive.
  10. Any fraudulent activity or abuse relating to the receipt and use of any Referral Incentive may result in the forfeiture of the Referral Incentive and termination of the Purchased Policy.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to: (a) remove any Existing Customer from the "Refer a Friend" program; and/or (b) decline any Referral Incentives suspected to be disingenuous or associated with ghost broking.
  12. The Promoter is not liable for any Referral Incentive that is lost, stolen, or unused unless these are caused by the Promoter's negligence.
  13. These terms and conditions are to be governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
  14. The administration of this “Refer a Friend” referral program is undertaken by Buyapowa Limited.
  15. The Referral Incentive will be sent via any of the following options selected by the Existing Customer: (a) PayPal transfer, (b) an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*, or (c) a M&S voucher. The Existing Customer may only select one of the options above. Please note, PayPal transfers may take up to 2 hours to appear in the Existing Customer’s selected account. *Restrictions apply, see www.amazon.co.uk/gc-legal
  16. If the Existing Customer selects payment via PayPal as their Referral Incentive, then please note:

  17. If the Existing Customer selects an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card as their Referral Incentive, then please note:

    Amazon.co.uk is not a sponsor of the Promotion and/or the Referral Incentive. The Amazon.co.uk Gift Card may be redeemed on the Amazon.co.uk website towards the purchase of eligible products listed in their online catalogue and sold by Amazon.co.uk or any other seller selling through Amazon.co.uk. The Amazon.co.uk Gift Card cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account. Neither Amazon.co.uk or EUI Limited are responsible if the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.     Gift cards and e-gift cards can be redeemed at M&S stores in the United Kingdom, Eire and the Channel Islands (including Outlets but excluding BP stores) and online (subject to website terms and conditions). They may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the card on payment of the difference.

    Gift cards and e-gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used to pay for M&S Bank services, products or outstanding card balances, made to measure shirts, Lunch to Go, personalised cards or M&S Energy or to buy another gift card or e-gift card.

    Gift cards and e-gift cards can be activated with a minimum value of £1 and a maximum load value of £1000.

    Please note there is a limit of 10 gift cards per transaction online. To pay for made-to-order curtains with a gift card, they must be purchased in store. You will not be able to use a gift card to pay for made-to-order curtains purchased online.

    Gift cards and e-gift cards are valid for the period which is the later of (i) 48 months from the date of issue, or (ii) 48 months from the date of the last transaction. After the expiry of this period any remaining balance will be cancelled. Balance enquiries can be obtained online or by calling 0333 014 8777 for the UK and Channel Islands (local rates apply) or 1890 719380 for Eire (mobile rates may vary).

    If any item purchased with a gift card or e-gift card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or refunded, any money owing will be added to the remaining balance on the card.

    If you do not spend the entire balance on the gift card / e-gift card, the remaining balance will be updated after each transaction. If spent in store, the remaining balance is shown on your printed till receipt.

    Gift cards and e-gift cards should be treated as cash. They are not cheque guarantee, credit or charge cards. M&S will not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged cards.

    Gift cards and e-gift cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your statutory rights, for example in the event they are not of satisfactory quality.

    M&S reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of gift cards and e-gift cards at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the card, if, in its discretion, it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Exclusions

  1. Referral Incentives are not available for any Admiral Group brand policy renewals (including any other Admiral Group brands including Diamond, Elephant or Bell).
  2. Referral Incentives will only be available for Qualifying Purchases made within the UK.
  3. If the Purchased Policy is cancelled by the Referred Customer or Admiral within 30 days of the Purchased Policy start date, the Existing Customer will not be eligible to receive the Referral Incentive.
  4. The Referral Incentive will only be payable if the insurance premium for the Purchased Policy is paid in full, or if monthly direct debit payments for the Purchased Policy are kept up to date.
  5. Existing Customers will not be eligible for a Referral Incentive if a saved quote is used to purchase an insurance policy.
  6. Insurance policies purchased via a price comparison quote will not constitute a Qualifying Purchase.
  7. Purchases not made via the Referral Link will not constitute a Qualifying Purchase.
  8. This Promotion is not to be used in conjunction with any other Admiral promotions, offers, rewards or discount codes unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discounts.
  9. Referral Incentives may not be paid on VAT, delivery, card payment fees, taxes or any other additional charges.
