Which type of cover is right for me?
We have four levels of cover for you to choose from - Social, Social and Commuting, Own Goods and Haulage.
For a campervan, we imagine you’ll want social or social and commuting. But, what’s the difference?
Only using your van for personal trips and not getting back and fore to work? Social cover may be the best option for you.
This level is perfect if you’ll be using your van for leisure activities that require a bit more space such as surfing, mountain biking or camping.
Social and Commuting
If your van will be used for your work commute as well as the fun stuff, you’ll need Social and Commuting cover. You’ll be covered for travel to and from a single place of work, as well as your leisurely trips.
You can read more information about Own Goods and Haulage on our Van Insurance page if you think they may be better for you.
Levels of campervan insurance cover
And just like car insurance, you’ll need to decide whether you need comprehensive, Third Party, Fire & Theft cover or Third Party Only cover.
Comprehensive cover is the highest level of cover you can buy; it includes Third Party, Fire & Theft and pays out to repair or replace your van if it's damaged in an accident or suffers malicious damage.
Third Party, Fire & Theft
Third Party, Fire & Theft is the next level - protecting your van from damage caused by fire or theft but not if it’s damaged in a crash. However, we’ll pay out to the other driver if you're involved in an incident.
Third Party Only
This is the minimum cover you can buy and protects you if you cause damage to someone's property or injure them while driving.
Third Party Only cover protects your passengers if they suffer an injury while in your van but doesn’t cover your van if it’s stolen or damaged in a fire.
Campervan Insurance Quote
Now you’ve decided on what type of cover is right for you it’s time to get a quote. To help you get a quote quickly, there are a few details you can have to hand to speed up the process.
- Van registration number and details
