Admiral partners with Welsh Rugby for a Festival of Rugby

Financial services company, Admiral, joined forces with Welsh Rugby to put on the Admiral Festival of Rugby for 140 children

The fun-filled event was thanks to Admiral’s partnership with Welsh Rugby, and saw children’s rugby teams, who have received funding through Admiral’s Community Fund during 2021, invited to an action-packed afternoon at the WRU National Centre of Excellence, training base of the Welsh national rugby teams.

Over 140 children from Bryncoch U10s, Treherbert U11s, Gorseinon U9s, Skewen U8s, Loughor U8s, Penclawdd U7 and Fairwater U7s attended. The event was filled with rugby-related activities including Cage Rugby, Atomic Touch and a Cross Bar Challenge as well as a visit from a few special guests including Gareth Davies, Ryan Elias and Johnny McNicholl.

Admiral’s CSR Manager, Danielle Jones said, “The Admiral Festival of Rugby is a special day in our calendar and it’s great to see it back. Supporting communities is at the heart of our partnership with Welsh Rugby and it’s fantastic to see our community support initiatives brought to life. It was fulfilling to see so many children who we have helped through our Community Fund come together for a special occasion. It certainly was an afternoon filled with fun activities and plenty of smiles!”

Admiral’s Community Fund has been running for over 20 years and enables the company to support the causes, charities, and organisations most important to its colleagues. The clubs attending Festival of Rugby have all received support through the fund thanks to an Admiral colleague application.
