with a hire car to keep you on the road following a
road traffic accident or recovered theft which renders
your vehicle a total loss or if your vehicle is stolen
and remains unrecovered.

Why do I need Hire Car Cover?
With our comprehensive car insurance you get a free
courtesy car to keep you on the road if your car is
involved in an accident and is repairable. If however,
your car is irreparable due to an accident or theft,
or is stolen and remains unrecovered, you could be
stranded without a car whilst you make alternative
arrangements. It’s surprising how much we rely
on our cars and if you’ve ever been without your
vehicle for a significant period of time, you’ll
know just how disruptive it can be. Our Hire Car Cover
aims to provide you with a means of getting to work,
picking up the kids from school or carrying on with
your normal daily routine in the event of a claim.

How do I make a claim?
Call the Admiral claims line number on 0844 543 4400 immediately after an insured incident. Admiral
will advise Albany Vehicle Rentals Ltd (AVR Ltd) who
administer the Hire Car Cover on your behalf. AVR Ltd
will then contact you to arrange a convenient time
and location for delivery of your hire car.
Calls to 0844 numbers will be charged at 5p per minute from BT Landlines. Calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.
How do I extend my cover?
Admiral Hire Car Cover allows for up to 21 days
of cover for comprehensive policyholders or up to 14
days of cover for third party fire and theft policyholders
subject to a maximum of 2 claims. If you need your
hire car for a longer period of time, you can extend
the hire by contacting Albany Assistance Limited on
0191 350 3243. A discounted rate is available to Admiral
customers.
How long does my Admiral Hire Car Cover last?
Your Hire Car Cover runs alongside your Admiral
motor insurance policy. This means that cover will
normally last for 12 or 10 months (depending on whether
you have a standard or a bonus accelerator motor insurance
policy).
