Of course we hope it never happens, but if you suffer an injury in a car accident, your confidence and lifestyle can take a knock too. Your Admiral car insurance policy already includes £5,000 personal injury cover (comprehensive polices only) but cover is limited to the policyholder and spouse and doesn't include other named drivers.

Adding our Personal Injury Cover provides the extra comfort of up to £50,000, giving you peace of mind and the extra financial protection for you and your family.

The benefit limit for Personal Injury Plus Cover is up to £100,000.

Buying Personal Injury Cover/Personal Injury Plus Cover

Personal Injury Cover/Personal Injury Plus Cover is normally added when buying your car insurance. Either select the option when you buy online or tell us when you call for a quote.

• Up to £50,000 or £100,000 Extra Cover for Personal Injury
  Up to £50,000 or £100,000 of cover against accidental death, serious injury or fractures and includes cash amounts if you stay in hospital over 24 hours resulting from an accident in your car.
• Covers the policyholder and named drivers*
  Covers the policyholder and all named drivers under the age of 80. Named drivers are also covered whether they're driving or just a passenger in the insured car.
• Protection whilst travelling in other cars
  Provides personal injury cover for policyholders whilst in any other privately insured car in the UK.
• Always covered
  You're covered whether the accident is your fault or not.
• Uninsured driver protection
  Covers you if you're hit by an uninsured driver.
• Runs alongside life insurance
  Pays out alongside any other life insurance you may have.

*Named drivers are covered while travelling in, getting into or getting out of the insured vehicle which is being driven by an insured person.

Policyholder is covered whilst travelling in, getting into or getting out of the insured vehicle which is being driven by an insured person and while travelling in, getting into or getting out of any other private car within the UK.

For camper vans, cover is only provided whilst travelling in the insured vehicle which is driven by an insured person.
