Giving young drivers a safer start

Admiral sponsors the SEAT Young Drivers scheme which gives 11 to 16 year olds a chance to develop their driving skills long before they venture onto public roads.

It's an approach that's been proven to save lives, helping to reverse the poor safety record of young drivers in the UK. Sadly, one in five new qualified drivers in the UK will crash within six months of passing their test.* In Sweden, establishing a minimum amount of pre-test driving experience has cut young driver accident rates by 40%.**

Admiral aims to provide car insurance for young drivers at a low cost, but to do that we need a new generation of young drivers on the road who are better trained, more safety-aware and will have less accidents. The Young Drivers scheme is helping develop better-trained, safer young drivers in Britain - that's why we think it's important to support it.
