Whether you are looking for cat insurance or dog insurance, Admiral Pet Insurance could help give your pet the cover they need.
According to the Association of British Insurers, the cost of the average pet insurance claim is over £700, which is nearly three times the average pet insurance premium. The number and cost of claims have risen by 9% from 2014 to 2015. The cost of getting quality veterinary treatment can quickly run into thousands of pounds. The peace of mind of having your pet covered for life-saving treatment when needed can be invaluable.
We recognise that your dog or cat is a loved and valued member of the family and so deserve the best care.
Whether you are looking for dog insurance, cat insurance or both, Admiral Pet Insurance offers a range of cover options which could suit you.
Lifetime Cover is the most comprehensive type of policy we provide. It covers accidents and illnesses up to the total policy limit, with no time restrictions. At each renewal the policy limit for veterinary fees is reset, so if you've reached your policy limit the previous term, you can start claiming again.
Lifetime Cover is subject to premiums being up to date, policy remaining in force and insurer offering renewal. Choose between our Classic, Premier and Premier Plus products.
Maximum Benefit Cover provides an allowance of veterinary fees for each condition. Each condition will continue to be covered with no time limit, until you have reached the policy limit for that condition. Once that limit has been exhausted, those conditions will no longer be covered.
A 12 Month policy provides an allowance of veterinary fees for a period of 12 months from the date the condition is first treated. When either the veterinary fee limit or the 12 months has been used up, the condition you claimed for will become excluded.
An Accident Only policy provides cover purely for accidents. Each accident is covered up to the policy limit during the policy term. Each accident will continue to be covered until you reach the policy limit.
Lifetime cover means you can make continued claims for illnesses and injuries up to the maximum level of cover of vets fees covered by your insurance policy. This level of cover is reset at each renewal subject to premiums being up to date, policy remaining in force and renewal being offered.
An excess of £85 is deducted from your benefit for each individual illness or accidental injury treated. For pets over six-years-old an additional 10% will be deducted for Veterinary Fees, Complementary Medicine, Cruciate Ligament Damage, Special Diet and Dentistry (where these are covered) for each claim payment. A £250 excess applies once per claim for Third Party Liability cover (dogs only).
Accidental Damage (Premier and Premier Plus Only)
If your pet damages someone else's personal items while in their property we will cover the cost to repair the damage or replace subject to the cover limit. Exceptions apply, see Section 8 of the policy booklet for full terms and conditions.
Offers cover if your dog injures a person or another animal, or causes damage to a property. It covers compensation, claimant costs and expenses such as legal costs and expenses subject to the cover limit. See Section 10 of the policy booklet for full terms and conditions.
Your pet must be at least eight-weeks-old before we can offer cover. There is no upper age limit.
If you pay monthly by Direct Debit you don't need to worry about calling us, we will automatically renew your policy after the 12 months. Those who pay annually will be invited to renew at the end of each term. If you would like to speak to someone in the renewals team you can call 0330 102 5761.
In the event of a claim you can call our claims line on 0330 102 5745, e-mail email@example.com or write to Admiral Pet Insurance, 5th Floor, Connect Centre, Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth, PO2 8DE.
If the total veterinary fees are likely to exceed £1,000 you must inform Ultimate Pet Partners immediately on 0330 102 5745 for pre-authorisation as we may wish to obtain a second opinion from our veterinary advisor.

We can pay your vet directly at their discretion - please consult with the practice and notify us.
We can also process payments directly into yours or your vet's bank account if we already hold the account details. Alternatively we will issue a cheque.
We understand that many people build up a long standing trusting relationship with their veterinary practice which is why we don't want to tell you which vet to use. We recommend you ask your vet for regular check up's in addition to maintaining their vaccinations, flea and worm treatment.
You can use whichever vet you are comfortable with. If you've not registered with a practice yet, visit the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons database to find a vet near you.
