Save energy

Did you know that the energy you use at home on a daily basis is largely from heating and hot water?

	Turn your heating off when you are not at home
	Ensure that insulation is in place and in good condition on your boiler, your pipes and in your walls and roof

You can also reduce energy wastage by:

	Switch off all unnecessary lights when a room is not in use
	Turn off TVs, stereos, PCs, and other machines when not in use, rather than leave them on standby

Save water

Year after year, there are water shortages in various areas of the UK. You can help to alleviate this, and as many homes now have a water meter, you could also save on your water rates.

	Switch from having baths to showers
	Install a dual-flush toilet
	Save water in the garden by using a water butt for watering plants

Switch to energy-efficient solutions

Energy-efficient appliances use less electricity, which means less environmental impact and reduced electricity bills for your home.

Start recycling
