Luxury car owners could treat themselves to what's possibly the world's most expensive car wash by driving their cars through the dunes surrounding Dubai, the Daily Mail found.
The facility has been billed as a 'car spa' and treats a car to a week-long regiment designed to get it back to as good as new, the publication found. Through a combination of methods, including top secret water treatments and pressure, as well as temperature, technicians pamper luxury cars of all kinds in the Middle Eastern country.
A UK expat, Frederick Faidhi, started the business just this year.
"Seven weeks ago I opened this sanctuary for the most prestigious exotic, luxury and custom made cars Dubai has to offer," Faidhi said. "In England it's unusual for young men aged between 18 and 30 to own a top-class sports car ... But in Dubai because of the kind of wealth here you meet people like this every day."
Faidhi said the service still resonates most with Brits though.
"Our treatment is particularly popular with British petrol-heads, who understand the need to treat their super and luxury cars with the respect they deserve."
Rates for the car treatments top out at£10,000, which would cover the work carried out on a custom built car. At the lower tier, owners of deluxe models from manufacturers such as Mercedes and BMW can have their cars serviced for£6,000.
Usually, the work done by Faidhi and his crew takes around 25 to 30 hours to complete, the Mail reported.
