| As Mother's Day approaches a survey reveals most men drive far more carefully
with their mother as a passenger than with their partner.
The survey by direct motor insurer Admiral, shows 72% of men drive more
carefully or slowly when their mother is in the car, but only 34% when
the passenger is their partner.
Admiral managing director, Jane Stone, said, "I'm not sure if men
care more for their mothers than for their partners or if they are just
scared they will be told off by Mum if they drive too fast or carelessly.
I think it's natural to be more cautious when your mum is in the car."
The survey also reveals 36% of men help to maintain their mother's car,
while 29% sometimes even clean her car!
