A junior football team has received a brand new kit, thanks to a South
Wales insurer.
Admiral insurance provided Pentyrch Rangers Under 8's Red team with their
first ever sponsorship deal. The money comes from a fund set up by Admiral's
chief executive officer, Henry Engelhardt, which provides financial support
for staff involved with local organisations.
Pentyrch Rangers FC was established in 1990, and has around 200 members.
The club has a range of teams, from under 8's to under 16's, including
girls' teams. Karen Webster, a Quality Officer at Admiral, has a son Matthew,
aged 7 who has played for the club for almost two years.
Simon Line, a manager at the Club said, "It meant a great deal to
the team when they heard Admiral were sponsoring their new kit. The boys
feel more positive about playing with a proper kit as opposed to yellow
training bibs, and this has certainly helped to promote team spirit."
