Could you manage without a car if yours was written off or stolen? With Admiral comprehensive car insurance, you get a courtesy car if your car is being repaired at an Admiral approved garage. But if your car is written off, can't be repaired after an insured incident or has been stolen and isn't recovered, you could be left without a car.

Adding our Hire Car upgrade to your Admiral policy gives you peace of mind and the convenience of a hire car for up to three weeks (for Comprehensive policies). We'll help keep you mobile while we go to work on your claim. It saves the hassle and expense of having to hire a car yourself or relying on public transport.

Why do I need Hire Car Cover?

It's surprising how much we rely on our cars; if you've ever been without yours for more than a day or two, you'll know just how awkward it can be. Our Hire Car Cover helps you get to work, do the school run or carry on with life as normal in this event.

What if I need the hire car for longer?

You can extend the hire period by contacting Albany Assistance on 0800 085 8134, and as an Admiral customer, you're entitled to a discounted rate.

How long does my Admiral Hire Car Cover last?

Your Hire Car Cover runs alongside your Admiral motor insurance policy. So it will normally last for 12 or 10 months (depending on whether you have a standard or a Bonus Accelerator motor insurance policy).

Need to make a claim?

Call the Admiral claims line number on 0844 543 4400 immediately after an insured incident (Claims must be reported within 14 days). We'll advise Albany Assistance Ltd, who administer our Hire Car Cover. Albany Assistance Ltd will then contact you to arrange a convenient time and place to deliver your hire car.

Calls to 0844 numbers will be charged at 5p per minute from BT Landlines. Calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.
