Could you manage without a car if yours was written off or stolen? With Admiral comprehensive car insurance, you get a courtesy car if yours is being repaired at an Admiral approved garage. But if your car is written off after an insured incident or has been stolen and isn't recovered, you could be left without a car.
To add our Hire Car Cover to your policy, make sure you choose the option when you buy your Admiral car insurance online - or tell the advisor if you phone us for a quote.
Adding our Hire Car upgrade to your Admiral policy gives you peace of mind and the convenience of a Group A hire car for up to three weeks (for Comprehensive policies). We'll help keep you mobile while we go to work on your claim. Or if you think you can manage without your car, you can choose £200 cash instead to cover your own travel expenses (or anything else you like!)
It's surprising how much we rely on our cars; if you've ever been without yours for more than a day or two, you'll know just how awkward it can be. With Hire Car Cover, either a hire car or £200 can help you get to work, do the school run or carry on with life as normal.
You can extend the hire period by contacting Albany Assistance Ltd on 0844 571 9215, and as an Admiral customer, you're entitled to a discounted rate.
Your Hire Car Cover runs alongside your Admiral motor insurance policy. So it will normally last for 12 or 10 months (depending on whether you have a standard or a Bonus Accelerator motor insurance policy).
Call the Admiral claims line on 0844 543 4400 immediately after an insured incident. Once we confirm that your car has been written off, you'll be able to choose whether you'd prefer the hire car or the £200 cash. If you choose the hire car, we'll advise Albany Assistance Ltd, who administer our Hire Car Cover, who will then contact you to arrange a convenient time and place to deliver your hire car. Helphire Ltd, who provide the Hire Car will then deliver your vehicle. Or if you choose the £200 cash we'll arrange for this to be paid to you.
