Admiral offers three levels of Breakdown Cover so you can choose the right one for you.

All levels include:

Misfuelling Cover

As long as you don’t intentionally start the engine once you've noticed you've mis-fuelled, your fuel tank will be drained at the roadside. If unsafe to do so, you will be taken to a garage to complete the work.

Emergency Accomodation

If your car can't be repaired the same day, we’ll pay up to £150 per person towards the cost of one night’s accommodation in the event of a breakdown and your car is being repaired (up to a maximum of £600).

UK Onward Travel Allowance

If your car can’t be repaired the same day, we’ll provide you with a hire vehicle or pay up to £500 towards the cost of alternative transport.

How do I buy it?

If you're an Admiral customer, just call our customer services team and your cover will start 48 hours later. Alternatively, you can buy Breakdown cover when you get a quote for your car insurance.

How the Breakdown service works

Once you've added Admiral Breakdown Cover to your policy it couldn't be easier to use. When you call for breakdown assistance you will be asked for:

  • Your insurance policy number
  • Your registration, make and model of car
  • Your location so you can be found
  • Your phone number to keep you informed
    We need this number to call or text you who will be attending your incident and how long they'll be.
